Saturday is the biggest day in the history of Iowa sports

I have a set of lights from a cop car that I got on a state auction several years ago that I bolted to my ceiling in the garage. Didn’t have any wiring diagrams but I trialed and errored my way through it and made a kickass control panel with a bunch of switches. I can basically crank music and have a custom light show. It’s one of the older light bars that has actual rotating red/blue lights, plus it has red/blue strobes, yellow flashers (can make ‘em go left/right like a state patrol car), white strobes, you name it. You’ve never seen a more impressed person on the planet than when somebody comes in my garage super drunk and I let ‘em have the controls for a while LOL. It’s beautiful.

My cop car lights don't come on very often, it's usually at the request of somebody after they've had a few too many wobble pops.

Hahah yeah, it was only like $50 for a decent one, it makes things pretty fun - the little kids love it. I only get it out a few times a year (not this one though) but it was well worth it.

Next on my list is some kind of LED/laser light/disco light. Maybe I could find a cop car and rip the lights off the top!

Saturday is going to be an amazing sports day. Iowa in basketball and football in big games and Iowa State playing the most important game in their history, not to mention all of the other conference championship games.

Unbelievable. Really hoping the Iowa FB team comes out ready to play......it is MICHIGAN week

I was always going to get a siren too but never got around to it, haha. All of them that I looked at were like 100-120db which is way too loud.

What I'd really like to do is get a CB radio with a PA speaker for people to mess with, and then a siren to go with the lights. But I'm 40 years old and probably shouldn't be building shit that would be more appropriate in a dorm room.

Like, it would be super cool to be watching a Hawks game, and have a switch that killed the main lights, turned on all the functions on the cop car lights + the siren, and then have a CB to yell TOUCHDOWN IOWA.
Maybe do the same thing for sacks. That would be a "one-button" deal. Hit one switch and the whole garage goes into spaceship mode. I'm a fuckin 8 year old at heart and I've spent way too much time thinking about that stuff over the years.

Oh and I also thought about getting a sound bite of Dolph yelling touchdown Iowa instead of the CB but I don't want to start getting a bunch of electronics involved.

I pulled over my buddy in High School once with another buddies dad's siren light for being the volunteer firefighter. LOL it as funny. Sat behind him for a couple minutes with my headlights on him. I then walked up slowly to his drivers window. Just lucky the town cop didn't see us doing it.

Growing up in a small town, you just make sure the cop is on the other side of town before doing that stuff. Oh memories.

That sounds amazing, you're never too old for that shit IMO. YOLO. I thought the fog machine and light show was overboard until I saw how much everyone around me enjoyed it too. If you can't spend a little of your hard earned cash on having a little fun, what can you spend it on?

I can't imagine the AD is putting OSU and Iowa in the win column when thinking about the contract, though.

@HaydenHawk56 mentioned on the other thread that Kirk isn't interested.

I get it...it's already Tuesday afternoon, just gathering tape and reviewing it on whatever team they picked would take a couple days let alone game planning.
