Well, if the back to back national champ's coach is saying the majority of his players are going to enter into the portal, and some are already bought and paid for, how do you think a .500 team with a possible lame duck coach is going to fare?

You may be ignoring the simple fact that his team members are huge targets for the NBA, a ton of programs that have huge $$, are part of the one and done fraternity. That ain’t Iowa players. Don’t forget. We are, along with many other BT programs, developmental in nature. You are posting a false equivalency.

To be clear, I don’t know if we will see Iowa players move into the portal. I just, given what I see, do not believe that will be a big issue. And, we did get a 4**** transfer who has been with the team for the past few months. And, Fran’s recruits look pretty salty.

If we have kids transfer, as they have in the past, they tend to be seeking more playing time and moving to lower level programs.

There have been some very good thought post in this thread.

We will see what happens. Can’t blame Beth if she stands put for one more season or if she cuts ties with Fran and goes a different direction.

The whole thing with a family reunion over at another basketball program (Butler) is VERY unusual. Can’t blame Beth either way. If Fran stays and struggles next season I just don’t see him possibly surviving after next season. He will be gone or Beth will be, or both.

Is this a game of “clue” and the butler did?
