I love it. I dislike Saban, that said I couldn't agree more with him. I could careless about the writer going off and his mission to find the 6.

“It’s the full body of work. It’s not just that you can beat one team, but if you have to beat six or seven other teams and have to play with consistency to do it, I think that goes a long way in saying a lot about what kind of football team that you have. And that’s no disrespect that you have, because they may certainly be able to do the same thing if they were put in that circumstance.â€￾

I don't understand how people can call his SEC games cupcakes when Boise is playing WAC opponents?

Well it's true. The SEC really isn't all that tough these days. People may not be so inclined to call the "cupcakes" if the media didn't keep perpetuating the myth that the SEC is still some kind of gauntlet. Five years ago? Absolutely. Now? Not so much.

You realize how many SEC teams could win or finish second in the WAC?

LOL, please, SEC in comparison to the WAC...you've got to be kidding me. Even if the SEC isn't as good as it used to be its is still a million times harder than the WAC.

I'm not even talking about Boise right now. Even just when looking at the AQ conferences, the media makes it out like the SEC is SOOOO tough to win. You realize how many SEC schools wouldn't finish better than 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten this year? Yet the SEC is still #1 conference, if you believe ESPN.

Well I agree with you here. Georgia, LSU and the rest of the SEC teams in recent years have benefited greatly from Florida and Alabama the last few years. The middle teams in the SEC are very overrated by ESPN and most of the media.

I'm lost, I asked how people can call Bama's conference schedule cupcake when Boise plays in the WAC...and TM comes in and says its true, so i take it that you are saying the SEC is cupcakes compared to the WAC, then you say your not talking about Boise St. I don't get it, i think your calling the SEC worse than the WAC, but then again you stopped talking about the WAC and compared the SEC to the Big Ten? I don' know anymore man.

I said that people might not be so inclined to call the SEC schedule a bunch of cupcakes if the media didn't hype them up like the top 6-8 teams in the league would win a conference like the Big 10. Compared to what the media makes the SEC out to be, the league is nothing but 'Bama, Florida, and a bunch of cupcakes.

Question isn't necessarily "Is the SEC stronger than the WAC, from top to bottom?", but rather, "Could Boise survive a season of playing teams like Florida, Alabama, Georgia, etc, week in and week out?"

I'm not entirely sure they could. But we just won't know until they're playing in a tougher conference.

I understand what your saying now, but it was a curveball when I asked how people could call Bama's conference sched cupcake compared to the WAC and you said it was true, which made me believe you were saying the WAC is better than the SEC, but I see where your going and somewhat agree, they may not be as good as previous years, but still is week 1 and we shall see this season.

Let's say despite all the whining, Boise State runs the table impressively, finishes #2, and gets into the title game against an unbeaten BCS team.

Most people are going to complain that they don't deserve to be there.

But what if they win? Do people still complain, or will Boise then be accepted as a legitimate champion?

How hard is it to prepare for 1 or 2 games a year compared to 7-8 games a year.

it'd help his case if he didn't lose to Utah in a BCS game a few years back

All of the BCS conferences are tougher than the WAC. The WAC probably isn't as tough as the MAC. Its takes a lot for a team to get through the Big10, Pac 10, Big 12, SEC undefeated. To go undefeated in those conferences a lot of things have to go right.

But that doesn't matter if they were to get to the NCG. Both teams would have a month or more to prepare for the title game, with nothing else on their plate. We can debate whether or not they belong there, but once they get there, what happens if they win?
