Saban on Boise State

I understand what your saying now, but it was a curveball when I asked how people could call Bama's conference sched cupcake compared to the WAC and you said it was true, which made me believe you were saying the WAC is better than the SEC, but I see where your going and somewhat agree, they may not be as good as previous years, but still is week 1 and we shall see this season.

Nah, it's cool. I wasn't trying to say that the WAC is better. They're both loaded with cupcakes. We'll say the SEC is filled with cupakes with sugar-free icing, and Boise's is loaded with sugared icing. One is sweeter than the other, but both cupcakes lol.

But that doesn't matter if they were to get to the NCG. Both teams would have a month or more to prepare for the title game, with nothing else on their plate. We can debate whether or not they belong there, but once they get there, what happens if they win?
Since the former is a unsettled debate, then the latter would be an unsettled debate, too.

I agree with Saban but in college football nothing is determined like that. He has a title because he beat Texas on a given day. Does that mean Bama was better than Texas? Maybe, but you can't say with certainty that they were.

You can only play who is put in front of you. If Boise rolls throught the conference which I believe they will and is winning games easily like they have in the past, then I think you have to give them a shot if there are not 2 other undefeated teams. Style points count for Boise. They have to demolish teams.

One could make the case that right now, the SEC has two great teams. South Carolina and Florida. There has been the myth perpetuated through Pat Forde and the like that based on two consecutive title game wins, the SEC is so much above everyone else. That isn't the case. They are likely the best conference but it's close. Georgia perennially disappoints, Tennesee is terrible right now and the Mississippi schools are bad. Florida did not impress me.

The former is a SETTLED debate, at least as far as among those who actually decide whether or not Boise gets in. If they are one of two undefeated teams, or the lone undefeated team, they WILL play for the NC. Fans like you and I can debate whether or not they belong, but in the eyes of pollsters, they DO belong. And those are the opinions that really count.
