Rumor Has It. - Dylan Riaola

I have heard from a couple sources that Dylan Raiola is entertaining entering the transfer portal. His brother Dayton recently announced he was leaving and there are stories mentioning Alabama may be going after Dylan. Will be interesting to watch. I kind of wondered after seeing Dayton was leaving.

Yep, that's where we are now. Even the good players for solid teams in the BIG are going to get poached, and prob vise versa. The AL, Ohio St, Michigans, Penn St, Georgia's, LSU are all going to just poach players. There is definitely going to be a top tier of a few teams at the top in each conference.

Just sickening
If it goes this way eventually most fans will lose interest (including me) in following the same dozen of teams that buy their way to the playoffs each year. low fan interest, no eyeballs on the TV commercials, then changes will have to be made or it all will all implode. Think women's college and pro basketball before Caitlin came along............... YAWN..........

I think it's funny.

If the Big Ten could do it all over again would Nebby even get into the Big Ten now? They only got in because of the prestige of their football program and now that's gone.

All the nebraska fans I’ve asked about it don’t care. I don’t know if they’re just saying it, or if they really don’t care. I personally don’t think he’s all that good so it probably doesn’t matter. He’s certainly not head and shoulders better than Lateef

They knew fairly early on he meant more as a recruiting win in their mind than a great player but being nebby they leave that arrow in the quiver until he leaves.

You "heard from a couple of sources"? It's been in various media for a week

Yea. He has been good and bad. Not in the same class as the kid at Indiana Ohio State USC or even Michigan. Not sure he would automatically start for Nebraska next year?

Is Riaola even that good? I wouldn’t want my team spending top dollar on him.

The same dozen teams have been at the top of CFB my entire life.

Yes he is, as far as finding a QB in the portal.

This year he has 2000 yards in 9 games 72.4 % completion. 18 TD, 6 int.

30-41 308 yds 0 int vs. Michigan.

Also, he has 2 years remaining.

2819 yards as a freshman. 67.1%.

Not going to find that in the portal too often.

Yep. He is definitely in the “somebody will pay him” category along with the following:

Drew Mestermaker
Jaron Keave-Sagapolutele
Sam Leavitt

The knock on him is that he holds the ball for too long. He takes too many sacks. He may lack the intangibles.

He throws a nice ball and can improvise pretty well when scrambling sometimes.

I have no idea how he stacks up as a leader.

Its possible that he and Dana/Rhul could not come to new payment terms (Like Nico at Tenn.) And they've decided not to negotiate any further. And so people begin to float the idea of him moving on.

Sometimes teams decide that a player / recruit should move on. And the Team lets the player spin it however they want.

Does he have the competitive spirit given his 4x transfer in highschool?

If Miami can’t poach LaNorris Sellers from South Carolina…you know Riaola is the next in line to get the phone call.

Not to go 3rd person, but you can add LaNorris Sellers to the list, if he decides to move on from South Carolina.

Please forgive me I am a little comatosed from the food and booze.:)
