Fail. Banks played plenty, which is why people were so vocal about how he should have been the starter in 2001. They'd actually seen him in action and wanted him on the field full-time.

He completed 41 of 68 pass attempts for 581 yards and 4 TDs, while running for 160 yards and 2 TDs on 39 carries.
So yeah, you must have been in a different stadium. His situation wasn't even remotely comparable to what we saw last year (ZERO snaps for the backup).

So you could see that while he wasn't perfect, in his second start, on the majority of his reads he started downfield and went through his progressions, rather than panicking and throwing it to the check down 80 percent of the plays? Can you also not see that his name is spelled RUDOCK on TV?

Yeah, it can. Rudock has played pretty damn well for a first-year starter. You can't seriously think that another first-year QB couldn't possibly do worse than Rudock has; he's set the bar reasonably high thus far.

I would just like to see how Beathard does in a game. I watched him in high school and he has a cannon for an arm. You never know how good a kid can be until you throw him in the fire. He could be a sparkplug for the offence I would just like to see all of our opitions at the qb position. I would be willing to try anything to get this team going.

Getting him some snaps is one thing. Benching Rudock is another.
You might be willing to try anything to get the team going, but "fixing" something that isn't an issue usually isn't the way to do it.

But what reason is there to do so? Rudock has played very well, and Beathard could very easily play worse. There is no logical reason to give Beathard a legitimate shot to steal the starter's spot right now. It would be much more likely to create an environment where everybody's too busy looking over their shoulder to see if Kirk is going to let them keep their job to actually perform well.

Look, I understand that the offense has issues and the biggest of them is consistency and finishing drives. The QB is not the problem.
You're right. Instead of averaging 473.5 yards of offense per game we couldn't average the 312 we did last year. 24 points a game for the offense..we can't do worse than that..like last year..

Sometimes one player can make a big diffrence. I'm just wondering if the offence would get a better rythm with a diffrent qb. I hope Rudock has one hell of a year. But watching the games it doesn't look like everybody is on the same page. I want what you guys want to get this team to winning again. GO HAWKS!

If by "not on the same page," you mean Rudock expects receivers to actually catch passes that hit them square in the hands (as opposed to just waving for a flag within microseconds of the ball hitting their hands *cough*...Cotton...*cough*), then yeah, he's not on the same page with everybody else. But changing quarterbacks won't solve that particular issue.
