Rondale Moore has a bad ankle

Brohm in a recorded interview said that Moore is a "game-time decision" and that there are several others in that category as well....said "it is that time of the year."

Iowa has injuries but so does Purdue.

I think the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win this game. I don't think Purdue has a huge advantage if Moore is less than 100%, which he will be. We need to play clean football on the offensive side. You can't win games on the road against good teams if you do not do that.

Isn't this the situation with most competitive games?

It would be with Rondale Moore vs Julius Brents.

Brents is a beast...don't get me wrong. But Moore is a Saquon Barkley type of guy who can make anyone look stupid.

Good point. Two freshman back there. The line has to get pressure on their QB as well.

Looking back at his recruiting profile...he had offers from lots of "big boys". How did Purdue land him? Close to home for his folks to come watch?
He was committed to Texas but flipped.

Jeff Brohm's dad is a coach at the high school Moore went to in Louisville. No one has really said anything about it for sure that I know of, but I'd imagine that has something to do with it. That would be one big ass coincidence.

Anyone think that Brohm is the kind of coach that would have an injured id play when it isn't in his best interest?

Wouldn't it be more tricky to just not let the Iowa coaches know he wasnt playing? That way they would still spend all week game planning for him for no reason. Pretending he may not play when he's going to play doesn't do a thing.
The media would spill the beans that he wasn't practicing.

Brohm's dad is 7th from the left on the top row.

For the record, this fuckin' high school team has...

1 Head Coach
11 Assistant Coaches
1 Head Trainer
1 Assistant Trainer
1 Strength Coach
1 Video Manager
13 Team Managers

...and they're 4-6 on the year and lost their first 5 in a row.

These huge school high school teams are f'n nuts. Warren Central in Indianapolis has 23 Assistant coaches and that doesn't include JV or Freshman.

I wonder how many of these are just helicopter dads? For all you helicopter dads in youth sports. I despise you. It's pathetic watching how some of them work.

Unreal. But yeah it's getting like that all over I bet. Artificial employment is what it is almost. Turning HS athletics into a business just makes me want to throw up. There's all the games they occasionally televise now too. It's just not remotely about what it's supposed to be or what it used to be anyway..

Last year they didn't have Rondale and still won.

Dont even compare last years game in high wind brutal cold. Kirk made 4 totally terrible majorly bad coaching decisions on the wind, on which end zone to defend, and on that 2 pt conversion. If I was not a hawk fan and I was at that game I would have been laughing at how stupid the Iowa coach is but instead I just had to be mad.

I got to toss one of 'em from a 6th grade game I umped this summer. Coach screaming at his kid, made him cry, typical dumb shit...

Just to be a dick I emailed our rec director and told him I didn't think the guy should be allowed back to our town for city sports (he does soccer and basketball too), and to my total surprise he sent their MAYOR an actual letter on paper saying we'd appreciate he stay back in future games.

It's a town of about 5,000 and we got a letter of apology and each got phone calls (from the mayor, not the a-hole). I felt like the Count of Monte Cristo getting some sweet as revenge-a-rooni. Tickled me to death.

I hope that Moore plays and is full strength. Then there will be no damn * by this game after we win

* Iowa won because Rondale Moore was not 100%

I care more about having a better chance to win than I do about an * that no one will even remember in a year.
