Ricky Storm Rising

Probably not going to receive a response for a while TM...'Banned' moniker just appeared under his name.

I'm not really sure why his posts got deleted in the Ferentz appreciation/mancrush thread, but I can't help but think that this one (combined with pressing the issues in several other threads) didn't leave much wiggle room:

Are you referring to the one I posted with Butters? Lol that one was just a play on the Scroty McBoogerballs episode, when Butters is brainwashed into trying to kill John Lennon and Ronald Reagan by The Catcher in the Rye.

I think so. He had a couple of posts in that thread; I think he even had a few who agreed with his premise, but both his posts and all other posts relating to his got blown away.

I came into that thread after his stuff was deleted, but it wasn't hard to infer what kind of stuff he was posting based on his subsequent questions about why they were deleted. So I tried to have a little fun with it :D

I think he was trying to tie in some of the philanthropic stuff that Iowa/Ferentz do with wins and losses, but I don't remember the exact means on how he was doing so.

The thing that surprised me about the deletion was that there were several posts that agreed with his premise (or so it seemed), but maybe didn't agree with the whole post. I guess I'll have to be careful hijacking any threads (like this one!!) anytime soon...:)

hey tm with regards to your point about QB's I'd be interested in hearing your argument about that same approach towards our RB's in the ferentz era. (take away one qb stanzi & one rb Greene). that leaves Young and Betts who both struggled in lesser roles. That same argument could be made about our backs, no? The weird thing is Betts and Young were both 3+ years in our system. One could argue ALL our skill positions have struggled at being drafted save our TE's. just thought I could dangle that out there for you piranhas

That's true. That may soon begin to turn in the other direction, but up to this point we haven't done well getting any skill players (Outside of TE's) drafted. Which is precisely why the offense is in greater need of stepping up, compared to the defense.

Yeah, I agree. At this point, I see him almost at the Kyle Boller stage. Probably will be drafted a bit too high, get put on a decent team...get a chance here and there, but ultimately a backup QB (which is not a bad gig, at all). I'm not wishing this upon him, I just feel that is his range of talent (using my NFL GM skills, you know).

Dude does have a gun, it's just his accuracy that kills him....
