I notice the written offer includes the claim that Iowa is an elite football program. Do you think they'll use the same wording with their 2017 written offer?

No, they will clearly state that we are a mediocre program but once in a while we come up with a big season.

Maybe something to be said about being familiar with the culture associated with the Iowa program with Kennedy, Davis, & White now gone (no Iowa ties) and K. Ferentz, B. Ferentz, R. Morgan, L. Woods, and S. Wallace (Iowa ties) still present and accounted for.

Kirk ventured outside the circle and got reminded I guess. Be interesting to see how many from the circle might be in the upcoming hires.

Jon or Rob, is it possible their "non-renewal" is the reason Greg Davis "retired"?

A lot of things are possible. What we do know is that Kennedy and Whites was concurrent with Davis's retirement. Until someone has some concrete information on the details, going further into how and why are pure speculation. I realize that isn't going to stop anyone from imposing on all of us their little made up stories.
