Reiff going prro?

Considering that he is rated as a top 20 pick, it's pretty much academic that he'll jump to the NFL. Staying will do nothing for him except risk injury.

I really dont think he has lived up to the hype this year. The O-Line has been very inconsistent overall. I think he needs another year but if Mel Kiper thinks hes ready then he should probably take the money and run.

I think the O-line has been the most impressive part of the entire team. Hands down. Reiff is and will be a dominant lineman in the NFL.

In my opinion he is gone, because he is a first round pick.

Apparently the experts think he's a high pick. He's gone.

I don't watch individual o-line players and closely enough or have the knowledge to critique them, from what I saw this year I didn't think he would be so highly regarded but I thought the same thing about Bulaga and he's done ok.

He's played great this year guys. Some of the issues attributed to him this have been the inexperience of the guy playing next to him. Guess what, even all pros get beat sometimes. The guys on the other side have an assignment too.

He will not be in a Hawkeye uniform next year. If I were starting a team and needed a left tackle...in the Big Ten...he'd be my first choice.

Its one of those things where I'll assume he's gone until he's not. Who knows maybe a convo with Gallery will keep him another yr. Staying sure worked for him.

Or a convo with Bulaga will convince him to go, sure worked for him. Everyone was talking about how Bulaga had a disappointing Junior year and now he is the starting right tackle on the undefeated defending champs.

And he kicked some *** in a Superbowl in his rookie season. Nothing like playing your best game of the year in the biggest football game on the planet.

if he maintains the pick range he presently occupies, I doubt we see him back.

Next year, the OL could look like:

LT: Scherff/Donnal
LG: Tobin/Scherff
C: Ferentz
RG: Bofelli/Blythe
RT: Van Sloten

There are more bodies behind those...Three with experience...several with promise.

And thats exactly why I consider him gone. He'd have to be talked into staying. I'm sure he's leaning towards going. I don't think I'd stay. Pro careers are short start asap.

Out of sight, out of mind...Nolan MacMillian doesn't get a mention?;) Other than Ferentz, it seems he's our second best returning lineman

Any chance we move a guy like Blythe or another big wrestler type to the D Line Jon??

Thanks
