its getting old.

Try turning off JavaScript. There are also addons that let you select the what sites you want to allow to use JavaScript and not.

I get the same thing ever since the switch.

Can you suggest a good one for mobile?

Are you sure on your phone that it isn't the smallish print and you are clicking ads rather than the intended link?

If not, the only real recourse is to back up your data using Kies and do a factory restore.

I use 1Blocker for iOS; I can't speak intelligently to Android (some people say I can't speak to the Hawks intelligently though, either).

It does get most of the ads dealt with except for some pop ups occasionally. The thing I like the most is that it speeds up page loads and uses less data if you're concerned about that sort of thing.

Websites are getting more militant in fighting back against ad blockers.

Some websites give you a popup asking you to turn it off (which you can block with ABP, by the way), but I can count one one hand the websites I've run into that block you for using one.

Even if you don't mind ads, if you give 2 shits about malware on your computer you should be blocking them anyway.

That's just not true at all.

In practicality it is. The fixes just aren't that consistent. Then again, I don't have many problems as I don't download much and go to certain sites. Still can happen. If I had a virus on my phone, the main reason for the malware is to steal data. I have too much on my phone to want to give up my data other than to "trusted" sites...Trusted used sarcastically.

If you know what you are looking for in malware, yes it can be done reasonably effectively.

I don't get pop ups on this site. It comes only from where I click do to small screen.

honestly on my home PC, no problems. Its company's laptop. I am unable to install much of anything on the company laptop to block ads.

click setting
click show advanced sett
under privacy click content settings
check the box marked Do not allow any site to run JavaScript

You can also manage exceptions there.

I'm on an apple iPad and I get the redirect thing too. It only happens here.
Weird.
The only two things I can't stand about this site.... ickehawk and being redirected.

Actually on IPhone it is settings, safari, advanced settings, and turn java on or off. I tried it and it got rid of the redirecting but things on the site don't work the same. First you get a really small box to type in and you lose the ability to adjust font or to add the emotion cons. Also when you hit the little box in the upper right corner all you have for options is which forums you want to go to. In fact when I got to the home page it didn't allow me to do anything. I had to go back to google and search HAWKEYE Nation Forums to get to the forums, but yes the redirecting has stopped. I don't have any idea what it will do to your other favorite websites you have.

Safari: Block cookies: Allow cookies from current website only
Block pop-ups On
Advanced: Java script off

These settings stopped the annoying pop-ups where I kept winning $1000
