Recruits and parents read this site

Things are good now and things are even quiet, I remembered when it wasn't that way. Some of us spew a lot of sewage on this site when things are bad. I've been guilty of that. I was reminded that its likely that recruits are likely reading some of this stuff.

Thankfully they did not take that much stock in it.....as far as we know.

Let's face it, if they are taking stock in anything a bunch of moron's like us post, well, KF has bigger problems in the type of guys he's recruiting. That being said, these are the times we live in where the armchair QB has a highly visible forum and kids gobble up social media like we did PBR or Hamm's in our day.

If Juan Harris decommitted the third time because of something I posted (I really don't believe he ate a 14 year old girl because of the way he has behaved, I just was trying to be funny), I would like to apologize and take all the blame for this. Juan, I sincerely apologize.

Sooo, you stirred this pot for what reason?....

I was reminded that about 1 year ago, people were saying (Miller, Morehouse Docteman and others) that Iowa's recruiting was at a 10 year low. Prospects were dim. I guess that's why I posted that. No big agenda here. besides, its slow.

It interesting that there has been no real controversies come out in public lately. I guess starting 12-0 has that way of uniting a team. Or was it a united team that caused the 12-0.

Whatever is going on, the trouble makers have been quiet. I wonder if KF learned his lessons from the player rape charges, the drug problems, the excessive weight lifting workouts, the steroids (oops, did I make that one up, anyway moving on), the DJK personality conflict, the Dominic Douglas failure.

Maybe Kirk has learned from all this. Some personalities are not worth it, no matter how much talent they have. Or maybe Iowa has just gotten lucky lately and it's luck is about to run out. We shall see. It's hard to predict the behavior of 20 year old college boys sometimes.

I pretty much doubt that 12-0 has a foundation built on luck. I'm pretty sure a lot of things just come together and a team develops a personality and believes they can get the job done against anyone. Oh, and they've worked their asses off to get to where they can compete. It also helps that you have a QB with a cannon and the ability to make crazy play after crazy play to keep drives moving. I've watched the Iowa State game and the Pitt game again recently. I'm surprised CJ wasn't hospitalized after the Pitt game. He got absolutely pummeled in that game...and Iowa State got some shots too. Our pass protection in those games was awful. Pitt brought the house time and time again, but man, our blitz pick up was terrible. We don't win either of those games with Rudock at QB. No slam on him...but CJ is special. Watch those games again. Dude has some large testicles.

I doubt recruits read this site. And if they did, they would find the same kind a lowbrow mundane drivel on every other team's fansites.

No biggie.

They do read this site and hopefully some of the crap spewed gets trumped by the incredible number of the hot, easy co-eds that like to crawl all over recruits, 3, 4, even 5 at a time AFTER you, I mean they, sign their LOI.

I recently watched the Pitt game too. I'm very comfortable saying we don't win with Rudock. I swear the people who freak out when someone says our record would have been better two years ago with CJ playing must have never watched a game that year.

How do people think that a 17 year old kid isn't going to Google "Hawkeye forum" to check out what fans are saying about the team they are considering? I do agree that they see the same thing everywhere else tho.

You know, the reason Nebraska's mods are so touchy about anything negative being said on their sites is because they see their fan forums as extensions of their recruiting. They openly state that only positive comments are allowed because recruits and their families read the forums.

Have you guys ever visited one of the major SEC sites, they have areas with the most miserable political and racial discussions and confederate flags everywhere and then they have that thing where each fan base call the other one racist but they do it in a way that makes themselves look half-racist while they do it.

How do you know? I mean, fan forums are for old guys. I would think kids are busy Instagramming, Snapchatting, Twittering, Periscoping, and probably a bunch of apps I've never heard of.
I for one am not going to temper my comments because someone else might be offended. America: Love it or leave it!:D

Please don't write stuff like that. I like to imagine myself with having more power than I actually do.

...cough....cough. Who knows if recruits roam here.

On a side note, I work in downtown Iowa City in the middle of campus. There must be a 4-1 ratio of girls to boys around here, and all hot girls. On my way in to work thru downtown, I on a daily basis tabulate the number of hot girls that if not married, I would bed. This morning I got to 26 before walking into work. In addition, it's sunny and 82 like it always is in Iowa City.

Do recruits read this site. Who knows!

This is totally wrong. The reason they only allow positive comments is that Nebraska fans are so stupid they can't distinguish between fact and fiction. There would be a wave of suicides in Nebraska if negatives were allowed. Chicken Little syndrome run amok in Nebraska. Let's face it, Nebraska has been partying like it's 1999 for a long freaking time.
