Recruiting silence???

I know we don't have much cash on hand after last years haul but does anybody (PIN2WIN) have any updates on this years class? Lots of recruiting noise on wrestling websites...Michigan nailing a couple big recruits, Penn St has a guy or two, Ohio St getting some.

Brooks Black, Brandon Sorensen, Jake Marlin?... Any news on what this small class but hopefully big talent is going to look like?
 
This seems to always happen, Iowa has nobody on board all the fans get a little antsy then we have 1 weekend were they bring in a majority of the recruits and they start committing to Brands and Co. shortly after. I think that weekend is planned for Oct 20th(PSU home game for football).

My guess on the above you mentioned.

Marlin - OSU Cowboys
Sorensen - Upper Iowa/UNI
Black - Iowa
 
I’d really like to know more info on the German 149/157 supposedly destined for campus soon, as that has a pretty major impact on targets for this class. If he is projected as a solid starter/title contender, than 149/157 doesn’t need to be addressed this year and all available resources could go toward locking down Brooks Black, Broc Berge and/or whoever else the staff is highest on. If he’s more of a practice partner type, it’d be great to see the Hawks sign Mikey Racciato, Austin Matthews or even Sorenson for 149 since Jake Short and Anthony Collica are off the boards.
 
iowa is always last to announce their recruiting class. brands gable and co like to keep a tight ship. even about recruits coming to campus

Really hope not, kid is from my home town and from things i hear he really likes the Hawks so who knows....
 
It's definitely been quiet. Last year was nerve wracking as we waited for an announcement. Guess I'm growing more accustomed to Iowa divulging their recruiting class later than most schools because I'm not anxious like the past couple of years. T&T will come through again...
 
I agree AFHawk. This recruiting season feels a lot different than last year where there were some extremely urgent weights to fill. This year it seems the coaches can be a little more methodical and go after the right guys to upgrade some weights since we have solid options at most of the weights now. With the usual late announcement of the recruiting class, it seems like a pretty encouraging sign that Brooks Black and Broc Berge are still unsigned. I'd be ecstatic if the Hawks were able to land both those guys in this class. If they were able to land a 149/157 blue-chip as well, it'd just be icing on the cake.
 
I searched around for some information on the Racciato kid and found that he defeated Austin Matthews in last years Pennsylvania class2A state championship for his second straight state championship. He goes to school at Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem. Lehigh could be looking at this kid pretty seriously. Who knows.

How do you know how many schollies we have on hand? With football and basketball it seems a bit easier to track. Is there a link that points out as much or are you just somehow aware of who has received a schollie and what is still available? Curious to know for my own knowledge. Thanks and go Hawks!!
