Recruiting Roundup - Late Signing Period

Saw on twitter that Jaden Snyder (Brandon's younger brother) is choosing to walk on at Iowa over a few high level FCS full ride offers. Anyone seen him play in person? I've heard he's more athletic than his older brother. Good get for a pretty solid walk-on group imo.

@RobHowe Do you expect Brents and Johnson to sign tomorrow? Any last minute surprise commitments you think we might get?

Sorry. Just seeing this. Was at basketball game last night.

Johnson and Brents' signings announce this morning. They signed in December.

I think Iowa is done at 22.

Yeah. The problem was he was also used for placekicking. His punts were things of beauty - very high and very, very deep (often outkicking his coverage). His placekicking was an adventure every time.

Yeah, but his kickoffs were as amazing as his punts. He got replaced on PAT/FG duties his junior year, for the most part

Saw that James Miller signed with Indiana. Didn't figure we would lose out to Indiana with FSU in the mix.

Pretty deep class on D that's pretty easy to notice. I love the DBs and DL guys they got. If any of the LBs hit I'd say this class will be great.
As far as O goes the playmakers they got it'll just remain to be seen The Olineman they got shouldn't see the field for quite awhile. Petras is interesting. How will the battle between he and Mansell play out? Petras coming in early and getting to be apart of spring ball should help him a ton.
Overall I like how they recruited within what their 'needs' pretty much are. Would a no doubt about it playmaking WR stud have been nice? Sure and maybe just maybe they got one on the roster already they'll just need to get more reps and practice in first. But beyond that I think they restocked on D and that side of the ball got a lot deeper and better
