rebounds, ft and 3pts

too many offensive rebounds , FT 25 of 31 good start on a area that needed improvement and 3 pt shooting still bad 6-17.lots of things to still work on before the 11th

Half court defense was not good. Lots of ball watchers on that end with slow rotations. Going to learn a lot on the film session from that.

On a whole, the program is continuing to progress!

the good, they did out rebound the other team, they shot more and made more FT's than the other tream, on the radio it sounded like White was a black hole as far as shooting the ball, Basabe was a no show, Gatens led the team in scoring with 19, May led the team in rebounds, just needs to stop with high flying dunk attemps

Basabe garnered an early chewing out by Fran and never did really get into the game. White's game is going to be fun to watch. He has a first step that will leave quite a few defenders wondering what just happened...Devon's game is looking good. May looked very confident, even with the missed dunks. He provided a lot of energy and looked improved over last year. I really liked how the bigs played for their first game.

Yes, the game started out slow and even looked disjointed, but as the game went on, I liked what I saw. Friday's game is going to be fun to watch as this team continues to grow/jell. I know there will be growing pains, but it is the continued improvement that I am looking for this year.

none of my points are not meant to be viewed as complaints, they were meant to point out things this team will learn from and only get better

I really liked what I saw from White today, he had one baseline drive that ended in a 2 handed dunk that looked effortless, would like to see May do that a little more. White also showed some improvisational skills on O. I also thought both White and Oglesby looked like they'd added some muscle since this summer which both needed to do and will need to continue.

Cartwright had a few beautiful finger rolls going coast to coast where he floated the rim with artistic perfection.

Both Marble and Gatens did very well pushing the ball after rebounds, I especially thought Gatens has improved a lot in that regard which to me looked like a player now 1 year into a new system with an opposite philosophy to what he'd played his 1st 2 years.

I agree that a lot if things need cleaning up but overall I liked what I saw from everybody today. As long as they continue to improve and focus on playing within the system I think this will be a refreshing year considering how the last 5 seasons have gone.

I disagree 100% about stopping the high flying dunks. He'll make way more than he misses, the crowd loves it, and it opens up the kickout to the 3 pt shooter. I cannot imagine telling a guy to stay away from one of his strengths. You'll come around when he puts a good one down. White looked good too on his baseline jam.

Completely disagree on stopping the high flying dunks.

he has not made one since last december, i have no problem with dunks, but the high flying onehanded dunk needs to be curtailed, he is not converting, it like announcer saying when a shooter is not getting shots to fall, he needs to shoot ft's to get his rythem back, if you can't convert the circus dunk you need to go back to simpler dunks
