I think Kellogg gave us a fair shake. The only thing he said (which I agree with completely) is: "While Iowa is a very tall team, they aren't thick ... they don't have a lot of girth inside."

A perfectly good observation. He wasn't slamming us. Everything else was positive, IIRC.

I found that odd, especially since one of the biggers stories on the national level was Fran getting suspended. I expected the camera's to find Fran on every one of his little outbursts.

Funny how that story now seems to be forgotten now that they have won a big game.

Honestly, from what I could tell when watching Fran after non-calls/bad calls, he didn't get nearly as animated as usual. I think he just really didn't give the TV crews anything too juicy.

This. He said both are Sweet 16 caliber teams, and he thinks Iowa can go further than that. He said OSU could too, provided they get more consistent outside shooting.

I thought Kellogg was pretty good. Sure, he drooled over Craft, but so does the other 99% of the media who AREN'T OSU All-American alums. He had quite a bit of good things to say about Iowa.

I also enjoyed Kellog. He had plenty of good things to say about White, Basabe, Gessel, Marble, etc..

It's actually kind of weird that Kellogg and Herbstreit are pretty good at hiding their biased views when they both came from OSU who has pretty much the worst fanbase in sports.

.... and that really seems to pizz the OSU fans off, at least with Herbstreit a few yrs ago. If I recall, he even felt he had to move out of the Ohio area because he was getting so much guff from fans. He is one of the only on that network I can stomach. I like Bilas as well. Those two & that's pretty much it.

He's excellent IMO. He knows the game, does a good job of sounding unbiased, and says a lot of things just make me laugh. I remember a game he called last year, commenting about a certain player: "He's just like a baby's behind. Smooth and sometimes explosive.."

Kellogg is very good and gave Iowa plenty of props. BTN is gushing over Iowa. Not sure what some fans want...the media is just fine toward Iowa.
