Realistically: Can CJ Avoid Injury Through the Next 7 Weeks?

Obviously I want CJ to stay healthy along with the rest of the team. But I have nearly as big a concern for the welfare of Canzeri and especially King. They have played critical roles in the 5-0 start and the drop-off in depth at their positions is disconcerting.

Hypothetically someone has to score in the Michigan vs. Northwestern game right? Any chance that game could still be going a week after it kicks off.

I don't think he can without getting hurt. He is just taking to many high shots. Looks like a shoulder injury just waiting to happen if he hit the ground sideways. I actually think a QB like CJB would decrease his chances of getting hurt by moving outside the pocket. He is a great runner and is elusive. It seems like he is taking harder hits in the pocket than moving east/west. That being said, our o-line needs to offer better protection.

It does make me nervous on every punt or KO return. Those plays can cause some of the worse injuries. But again, knowing when & how to avoid taking big hits is the key.

Football is a contact sport, injuries are part of the game...he has taken some hits and will get some others...can't play scared, just need to play smart.

He probably will get a couple of hits that take him out of a series or two by season's end...just hope they are not serious enough to miss entire games. O-line needs to step it up and CJ needs to throw ball away "quicker" under heavy pressure...also some better executed screens,TE slants, and swing passes would have helped Sat.

I'm thinking he does get hurt at some point. He's already taken some big shots. Just not practical to think one of them doesn't hurt him eventually

Kinda my thinking as well he has made as many plays with his feet as he has with his arm. Let's hope he is more Russell Wilson and less RG3. He lands awkward on a knee or a shoulder, maybe a defender takes a bad angle and the knee gets exposed it just seems like it is coming. MelroseHawkins is correct he has to play without fear......if he gets hurt, he gets hurt,
