I could have swore that KMM on the bench after his TD catch say, All game long, I wish it was CJ all game long.
He had lead in his ***.I have no idea what KMM said. And I wouldn't put this loss on the QB. It was the whole offense.
I also think the main problem with the passing game was lack of protection and lack of separation with the receivers. However, it seemed Jake's lack of mobility and arm strength was an additional hurdle today.

I would say the line did ok pass protecting. No one got open OR Rudock made bad decisions.
I would blame our run game scheme. Too much stuff outside with the wrong back. And Bullock needs to not run the ball anymore. One play had a wide open running lane and let a guy pull his shoelaces and take him down.
This. Beathard might have been a better option today (better than a gimpy Rudock) because he was more mobile, but nobody was going to have a lot of success when receivers simply don't get open. You're not going to have all day to throw against an SEC front, so you're going to see a lot more forced passes.
Powell had his man beat for a TD. Rudock under threw him.

Not the 1st time that happened this year, Rudock doesn't have the deep ball arm strength a big time QB needs.
This is the reason all the southern schools let him walk north.
And so that one pass is enough to say Beathard should have been the starter this year? All his incompletions this season be damned? Come on.
Not what I said at all. But I read a lot of your responses and you can't have a conversation with anyone. You just have cocky, arrogant, argumentative responses most of the time. It's really quite annoying. Just because everyone goes not agree with your opinion you go on the defensive.

But Powell was open. He also missed CJ FED a couple times wide open. So there were times receivers were open and we did not take advantage. The whole point of the post you originally quoted was that receivers weren't getting open and that made it tough for Rudock to complete anything. Finding one example of a guy getting open and Rudock failing to hit him (when we all know that Rudock's biggest weakness is arm strength) doesn't contradict what I said at all.

I believe that right now Rudock gives us the best chance to win as he is a smarter QB and manages the game better. CJ has the better arm and big play opportunity, but with that comes risk. I think we will have a good QB battle over the next few months. I hope the staff plays the best guy next fall. Not the best guy today. And honestly, I don't care who that is. As long as we win.
I also would not count out Shimonek, as he was recruited by Davis for his offense, and will be given a look.
The tight ends got open several times, but we also had far more success throwing to them. The wideouts, other than Powell, struggled to get open all day long. Hence the lack of completions to wideouts. We might have had slightly better luck with Beathard today, but I still stand by my argument that nobody was going to have a good day today under center. Between the weather, gameplan/personnel decisions (needed more Canzeri to get LSU to respect the ground game more) and the wideouts' inability to consistently create any separation would have made things ridiculously tough for any QB.
