RB Prospect Rodney Coe

Forgot to mention this in the 'What I Saw' item.

I got to take in a bit of Rodney Coe...no, he wasn't doing a cone drill or anything like that, but I saw him a few times on the sideline before the game.

Goodness, he is one big kid. He is listed at 6-3/240. He is a giant, but he looks in shape.

Here is a link to his profile, and below are some videos. Iowa is in top four...along with Arkansas, Kansas and Kansas State.

Fine and dandy, but how does he look on a moped?

He's a big boy.

[cynical & sarcastic]
Hopefully we can bring him in, burn his redshirt as a freshman, then sit him on the shelf for 6 weeks collecting dust even though we've only really got 1 other healthy running back to play the meat of our B10 schedule.
[end cynicism and sarcasm]

From what I understand Illinois one of his favorites, too.

For as big as he is, he does not seem to be a very powerful runner. I can LB out of his though. Could be a great player!

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but don't be too surprised if Coe ends up at Arkansas. Teams in the BCS seem to hold a lot of sway over young players.
I hope it's not the case as I'd love to see him wearing the black and gold, but won't be shocked if he ends up in Fayetteville.

he surely saw what we can do with a dominant back. people can say all they want about us not being a sexy team, but we can really pound the rock!
