RB next year

Bullock started his Iowa career ascending the depth chart as a wr. He was forced to switch to rb because of injuries. He has obviously seen a reduced role with canzeri's emergence. If leshun or someone else steps up too I would not be surprised to see him as a fulltime wr.

The only thing keeping Weisman off the field at RB next year is more injuries. Beast already. Can't wait to see what another year in the weight room does. I think he splits with Canzeri. Could see Bullock and Daniels splitting #3 carries or Bullock out to WR. Redshirt the new guys, hopefully.

I don't see much changing from our rotation we use near the end of the year. Weis/JC on the early downs and third and short. Bullock playing 3rd down passing situations. Daniels will get some carries, but not a significant amount unless there is an injury. His time is coming, just not next year. RS for both Markel and Hilliard. No need to burn a year of eligibility.

Bullock will stay in heavy rotation with the running backs.

Also, when has AIRBHG ever laid low for 2 straight seasons? Not trying to be a downer here, but injuries have historically dictated who gets reps at running back.

We can hope, it is nice to finally see an overflow of players at the running back position. Some of the best athletes come in as running backs that end up at other positions. With all of the injuries Iowa has not had this kind of flexibility.

Weisman and Canzeri get the most carries with Daniels 3rd and Bullock as a third down back. It will be interesting to see what happens with Barkley Hill. There was a lot of talk about him before he was injured and now he is nowhere to be seen. Wadley must have impressed on he scout team.

A healthy Weisman is the best back in the B1G, problem is he performs devastatingly only for 4-5 games. Maybe Kirk should use Leshun and Canzeri for the first half of the season and unleash the Golem later. This way, we have Weisman blasting into hopefully dinged up defenses instead of the other way around. This is a random thought, not a carefully considered proposal.

A healthy Weisman would have been 3rd string for Wisconsin and would have been a backup at Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan State, and maybe some other schools. Even at 100%, he isn't close to the top back in the Big Ten.

If it's purely ypc, there are RBs with a few inches on Mark, some are even on the Iowa team. But a healthy Weisman with his tyle of running almost always bursts into the second level, delivers pulverising hits, never loses yardage, churns out first downs, keeps TOP in Iowa's favor...the benefits of all this have a positive multiplier effect across the offensive game plan.

Both the osu and mich state rbs are similar runners with more speed and better feet than Weismann. Not to mention they aren't as dinged up as much.

I like iowa's backs but anyone who thinks wisconsins aren't better than each of ours is smoking something. Both main guys for the badgers were Iowa recruits and they both have done more than the Iowa backs. Both have power, incredible speed, and great vision.

weismann is a hammer back for short yardage and a fb. He isn't a guy that can carry a 25 carry load every game and dominate. None of iowa's backs can right now. And only Daniels looks like he might be able to.

Canzeri seems like he should have a lot more touches. Im always impressed when he gets enough carries.
