Rank the Big Ten

Here are the Sagarin ranks. I guess we have 3 remaining games against higher ranked teams. 8-4 sounds about right at this point. If CJ takes over, and more importantly the offense as a whole plays better, I think we're potentially better than that.

11Michigan State
16Wisconsin
17Ohio State
26Nebraska
37Maryland
40Iowa
47Penn State
50Northwestern
56Minnesota
63Indiana
65Michigan
78Rutgers
86Illinois
112Purdue

Surprised how so few people give Rutgers the nod as a decent team. I watched them. They're decent. They play physical, don't beat themselves. Very Iowa like IMO. But their O is further along than the hawks.

Since we are talking rankings let's talk about recruiting rankings fresh off the heels of losing the Raridon kid from WDM Valley. His next class is sitting at #52 and I don't see much room for improvement. Don't know how you can be competitive for Big Ten leadership when your class is 10th in the Big Ten and NOW has slipped below hapless Illinois!

Clearly the younger generation of recruits don't believe in this veteran (using this term loosely) staff.

1. Michigan State- It's not even a competition
2. Nebraska- Favorite in the West
3. Ohio- Consistency is hard
4. Wisconsin- ^Same
5. Maryland- They look tough. Big time sleeper.
6. Iowa- the first 5 can all outscore iowa
7. Penn St- Depth is troubling
8. Rutgers- Will keep surprising people
9. Indiana- Flat loss after a big win. Pretty decent team
10. Minnesota- played 1 good team, lost by 24.
11. Illinois- No Lunt=Yikes
12. Northwestern- They did something positive finally
13. Michigan- Just unbelievably bad
14. Purdue- No quarterback. Still looking for that elusive B1G win.

Not bad, Penn St perhaps down a spot or two, would move Rutgers to 7 and Minneygoofer to 8.
