Best Defense coordinator in my lifetime, and I say that without an ounce of hyperbole. Nobody did more with less and you always knew his D would keep it close. Well miss you coach.

One of the greats....100's of young men are better today for having known him.

Initially, I thought NP was overrated he was just a byproduct of coaching under former Steeler defensive coaches(Perles/Widenhofer). It took me longer than most to appreciate what a good football coach he was. The way college football is today coaches like NP aren't around anymore, he was a true gem.

Condolences to his close friends and family. I always loved it when Norm was on the Hawk banquet circuit. I can't imagine the memories and stories his players were able to hear and recite.
