"Only complaint I have is he is a 5th year senior graduating in December and has to leave practice on Wednesday.."

"You can move in with him in January. He can tweet and have a ball."

Anyone know what the heck this means?

Well, for one, KF banned DJK's efforts to set-up a Twitter account and tweet his every thought. It's the KF ban-hammer.

As for the first quote....no idea really.

I'm assuming the first quote means because he is graduating early he has to leave Wednesday's practice for something related to it.

The second quote is saying that since KF doesn't allow Twitter by the team once the season is over with and DJK is done he is free to Tweet all he wants.

First quote could be either positive or negative.

Ferentz could mean that someone who's already completed 4 years of college should not be in a position where he absolutely has to take a class during Wednesday practice in order to graduate.

He could also mean---in typical Ferentz sarcasm---that he doesn't like DJK being so dedicated to graduating that he has to take a class during practice. In other words, DJK is a good student who wants to graduate, which interferes with practice (in a good way).

Dont read so much into it. DJK is graduating and KF would like him to stay :) DJK has class on Wed that requires him to leave practice early. I think other players have same situation.

KF has made DJK off limits to media sessions after this presser. The complete reason is known only by the two of them but most probably it is related to DJK needing to show some control with what he says. My guess is he may get to talk with media for final game and Bowl game but that is just a guess.
With DJK absent, the media folks have to work harder to get a good story but it also means others get attention:)

In 3 or 4 months he can 'express himself' all he wants......i'm with KF on this, probably has to do with my age, but for now its okay if DJK just chilled. I can live without the clever/zany tweet.

This is how I took it. A fifth year senior probably could have scheduled things differently to avoid a "conflict."

There's important context missing. The two statements are actually unrelated. KF was talking about the difficulties that seniors face with scheduling as many of their classes are only offered once or twice per day and can conflict with practice schedules. This is the case with multiple players.

The quote about moving in with DJK was a response to reporters. They asked if DJK was avoiding the media because he was mad at them. KF said that he loves the media and that in January (i.e. after the season ends) they can move in with him if they want and he can twitter and facebook and have a ball. Not much to read into really, just kinda boilerplate DJK/KF ribbing.

i can see both sides of the argument, it's a lose, lose for recruiting too. He doesn't get interviewed and KF looks oppressive, He does the interview and is asked 10 times about being in the doghouse. I think just keep him from being interviewed, at least KF is consistent and will not flip/flop. I think a modest kid with his head on his shoulders would understand.

we're really missing solid entertainment value in this years player interviews. listening to stanzi, robinson and sash give the same locked-down pro forma college-football-speak answers week after week is yawn inducing and pales in comparison to angerer's monologues. no offense to those players, they're great pupils of Ferentz and play it really close o the vest. DJK could have filled that void nicely this year. alas. we'll never know what might have been.
