Quick Rudock update

Those are good points. There is a lot more competition for Florida guys now within the state.
Thanks. Yeah, in the original post I actually under-counted the number of in-state FBS colleges.

Miami has a very good medical school. I think what got Jake to Iowa was the fact that Iowa is such a low key family oriented school. Have you ever been to the U? I remember going to football games in the nineties and you almost had to have armed guards to get to your car if it was more than a block away. His dad is an attorney and I think he knows the history. His family felt at home in IC. When you throw in all of the other factors of a great football tradition of more than a century, the med school, and a great coaching staff, it was game over.

OMG. No doubt about it. The Orange Bowl was the most dangerous place in the area. I was amazed every time I left a game that my car was still there, in tact. Corral Gables is nice, and it is a very good school, even one that can and does get smart talent.

Being a private school and much more expensive of a school, and being located distant wise much further south, it is definitely harder to get, and keep many of the instate guys from up north (FL) in Central and North Florida. It costs a lot more for many of those families just in all the ancillary things like parking, eating, rooms, etc.

I'm excited to get Rudock here and I think there is a good (albeit small) Hawkeye fan base that resides down there in S. Florida. It also seems those that live down there, that have a football intelligence, truly respect Iowa and our program. (They just have no idea what our winters can be like)!
