QB battle

This is going to seem like I'm killing a kid who has never taken a snap at Iowa, but I really didn't like reading this snippet. Would really like to see Iowa give it a go with a mobile QB. There are very few Tom Bradys and Peyton Mannings out there who can sit in the pocket and pick you apart. There are a lot more successful college QBs who can make plays w/ both his arm and his feet.
And the pause from ESPN.com: “He is a thrower, not a runner and will not make many plays with his legs aside from buying some time. His delivery is quick and over-the-top, but can be a bit quirky at times; nothing alarming.”

I agree, but we all know Ferentz isn't looking for a true mobile QB to run this offense. Unless Greg Davis can convince him otherwise it just isn't going to happen.

agree. I love Ferentz and he's a great football mind, but I think his quarterback radar is broken because he won't start a true frost even if they are better. This might be the only instance where he should listen to Greg Davis.

I think Sokol might be the one. Whoever it is better not throw the three yard out on 3rd and 10 and hopefully will have some scrambling ability.........

I'm gonna be the first to take the safe pick and say Rudock is the man at the beginning of the year. Only way we see a QB change is if he struggles early.

Many who has seen him play in practice have said he is the most polished QB and has the best mechanics.
 
Not officially but he pretty much calls the shots here. Runs the show. Definitely the most knowledgeable by far.

Unfortunately I did. For some reason, KF refused to pull JVB out of the game despite the fact that he was an absolute train wreck. But in the past, he has made the switch, as long as a Senior wasn't invloved.
