While true, it's also true Iowa was fortunate to get out of Rutgers with a win. Rutgers really helped Iowa by going 4-12 from the line.

I completely disagree with this. I don't see any difference between Gonzaga and the top 4 of the Big 10. If I had my choice in the tournament between playing Gonzaga, Baylor, Texas, Michigan, and Illinois, I would pick Gonzaga without hesitation. I don't think they are the worst team, I just think we match up the best against them.
