Shipley was a beast.....no one on our roster can compare.

Thanks for the response. I also think GD needs to also realize that the speed of the B1G is a bit slower than the boys down south. K-Mart is pretty fast and stepped up last year. As you said, it would be great if KD took over number one and we got a solid 3 to fit in.I didn't get to hear the interview, but from what he said close to the spring practice he was talking about speed on the outside. If it's along those lines, I get it. I would imagine he's doing it to fire up the group before the season starts, but we don't really know GD yet. He did say that K-Mart looked good, but the group of WR needs to be faster. With that being said, if KD can step up and be the #1 we all think he can and K-Mart step in and be a solid #2 (like KD last year) we need to see who is going to step up at #3 like K-Mart did last year. It would be sweet to see a big man like Hilyer step up and force himself into that spot. At 6'4", it would create huge mismatches.
You should go work for espn because you seem to think a 4.4 40 down south is faster than a 4.4 40 up north.
Shipley didn't have straight line speed, but had great quickness and ran very good routes.
this is what i believe...davis means quickness not actual speed. we have always had fast wrs. we dont tend to have quick wrs. this is why most of our passes plays are long or medium depth to allow for our speed to get separation. with davis we will use more short routes where quickness and elusiveness are more key. this is why i think either garmon or bullock ends up at wr because both are quick and elusive. and i feel hill will be one of the 2 main rbs with the guy that stays at rb between bullock and garmon.
Interesting assessment. Garmon does have the body of a WR. I don't know if they will convert him like they did McNutt. They might send him out wide every now and again or do some type of slip screen with Garmon, but I don't know about switching his whole position just yet.this is what i believe...davis means quickness not actual speed. we have always had fast wrs. we dont tend to have quick wrs. this is why most of our passes plays are long or medium depth to allow for our speed to get separation. with davis we will use more short routes where quickness and elusiveness are more key. this is why i think either garmon or bullock ends up at wr because both are quick and elusive. and i feel hill will be one of the 2 main rbs with the guy that stays at rb between bullock and garmon.
