My prediction is that Iowa will beat the clowns by 15. 83-68

Now, that I would be willing to wager on. I could see Iowa winning but if you're giving me ISU plus 15 points, I'm up for a bet. What do you have to gamble?

It's simple Iowa beat the clowns by 14 last year, Iowa returns more than the clowns do. So that's worth an additional 5 points. Minus 4 for being in Lames. So that gives Iowa a 15 point win.

I agree with chain of thought. How many times have we lost to these guys On their home court even when we clearly had the better team. In football we are their Super Bowl and in basketball we are their final four. Maybe not quit by 17 points but maybe around 10 points.
Not that many. Last year was clearly Iowa's Final Four. Rolled ISU and couldn't even make the tournament.

Maybe we don't like the basketball tourney just like the clowns don't like bowl games. Remember they don't mean anything!

- First 6 mins will be back-n-forth. On script, Fran sends in discombobulated second platoon.
- ISU goes up 8.
- Fran, with 4 timeouts, waits for the TV break to bring starters back in (except Garza and Cook, who each have 2 fouls, well on their way to 3 for the game).
- Starters are out of sorts and ISU goes up 12.
- Hawks get back to 6, then finish half with 5 minute scoring drought, while ISU hits 3-3's
Halftime score, ISU 45-30.
During half, all players grab straws to see who starts 2nd half.
Due to time constraints, we move forward in the 2nd half action ...
- Iowa shoots wad cutting deficit to 4. ISU wins 92-75.
Oh, and in response to the inevitable, "Blah, Blah, Blah...Why don't we just cancel the game!"
I say, OK, great idea! I just told you how it's going to go, so, might as well. You should thank me for helping to free up your Thursday night to do something more productive and less aggravating.

Maybe our fans should try that instead of sitting on their hands.
I'd like to think this will be a good game but I just don't see it. At least not until this team gives me a reason to believe they can play a 40 minute game and play even a modicum of defense.
I can see this being close for a while, but cue the inevitable 15-0 run (probably to start the 2nd half) before Fran finally calls timeout, and then it's game over.
Hate to say it, but: ISU 84, Iowa 71.
I think people are overrating ISU here. The have developed an identity since the beginning of the season and have added some good pieces since the initial two game skid. Like most games between these two schools I'll just be happy with a win.

They give the team a huge advantage. It's stupid and embarrassing tho. That said, I wish we did it.
