Preview, Prediction: Hawkeyes Head to South Bend Hoping to End Skid

Not sure what to think of ND. NW and CO aren't bball powerhouses and the final score wasn't a blow out.
Better D, < turnovers & good free throw shooting = quality P5 win.

Go Hawks!

Hopefully, Iowa will focus on rebounding, and Ellingson, Bohannon, and Williams have big games. I think all three, including Jok, are capable of lighting it up from the outside. Bohannon seems to be getting more comfortable with every game he has played.

ND is good - I don't expect a win.... in fact - I would say Iowa should be on "upset alert" this weekend when they host Omaha, which is a salty team

Omaha is #177 in KenPom and is 2-4 on the year. That shouldn't be a game we have to sweat about

Go ahead and think that if you want, UNO took USC and K State late into the 2nd halves before either of those teams pulled away. I predicted that Iowa would lose to Augustana last year and got laughed off the board.

BTW - all I do is watch, bet, and soak in college hoops - the teams I watch regularly are 1. Iowa 2. Creighton 3. ISU 4. Nebraska 5. UNI 6. UNO 7. Any game any night. I catch about 10 full games a week. That doesn't translate to me knowing anything more than any other casual fan - but I do watch and I think Iowa will have it's hands full with UNO.

Was Iowa worse off than you thought after Augustana last year? I'm telling you now - UNO is a good program that has recently made the jump to D1 and is a headache for every power 5 team they play. In fact they gave us a game a couple seasons ago - I don't think we'll lose, but they will give us a game because we're young, still getting it together and establishing rolls and have a long ways to go.... and win or lose - I won't think "we're worse off than I thought" because this team needs time and games and UNO is salty.

Sorry, I don't think any team ranked #177 in KenPom is "salty". They just got blown out by Eastern Michigan

They've beaten Buena Vista and UCSB. They are the very definition of a low major that travels around for butt kickings to fund their athletic department. If you expect anything but to smoke them I think you have a low bar.

Last year they played Missouri and Minnesota in the non conference, two of the worst major conference teams, and lost both. They only beat SImpson College by 10 points last year

I bet a high 70th some ranked Ken Pom team has never lost to 170th some ranked Ken Pom...ever - it's impossible in fact I bet. They won at Marquette a couple of years ago - and again - took IOWA down to the last minute a year before that on our court the year we won a game in the NCAA tourney and they are routinely ranked sub 150 by Ken Pom - keep telling yourself that these types of teams can't beat a young Iowa team.

Of course we COULD lose but Omaha is not good and I'm not going to pretend they are
