The 3rd image is actually Connor. The image in question (#10) is Peyton Newell. OWH screwed up. Doesn't really matter though, they're both losers :D

Like everyone else, I like how the running game is shaping up. Wadley and Butler this should be a killer combo that gives the team time to get the quarterback and wide receivers time to develop. Butler may be a bigger threat than Daniels. Looks like he has some speed. Add to this the solid line. Can't wait!

Hawkeye Logic:

When Iowa graduates a senior, Iowa gets worse at that position and needs time to improve

When Nebraska loses a senior they instantly get better at that position

Damn if we aren't the best excuse-making fanbase in all of sportsdumb . . . I mean sportsdom.

Perhaps. There's usually growing pains of breaking in a new QB regardless. Armstrong when he was on was really good ( I hate admitting that) but when he was bad he could be terrible. I'm sure style wise their next QB will be more to Rileys liking. Inheriting Armstrong wasn't exactly ideal for him. So we'll see.

Notice I said "could", not "will". TA was a less than brilliant QB who will be getting replaced by a guy who has already seen Div. 1 action and who is a better fit for what Riley wants. I personally hope he sucks.
 
If Iowa can decide on a QB by the end of the week then maybe they can get something going WR QB wise. I think the running game is going to be very good. Historically, a new QB hasn't killed Iowa.

I think Daniel's was actually quite limited compared to other running backs. He was good downhill with an opening to run thru but didn't have much wiggle. Butler is an all-conference legit back. Iowa could have two potentially all conference backs and one of the best tandem backfields in the BIG if not the nation.

And behind them there are some very credible threats. Looking for another year with at least 2-1000 yard rushers!
