The B1G is loaded this year with good freshman. Its not an indictment on Gesell's season if he doesnt make it.

You could argue that gesell is just as deserving as yogi.

Gesell - 27.5 min, 9 pts, 39% fg, 74.5% ft, 32% 3fg, 3 rebs, 3 assts, 2 to, 1 steal

Ferrell - 27.5 min, 7.3 pts, 39% fg, 78.5% ft, 33% 3fg, 2.8 rebs, 4.3 assts, 2 to, .85 steals

Pretty comparable stats for the season. And I would say gesell is more integral to iowa's success than yogi is to indiana's success.

I would say 1.) starting, and 2.) running an offense as a guard would hold more weight than being a center, coming off the bench, or a forward reserve in this league. IMO.
