I hope not to repost a topic but My dad was at the game and said that the Purdue players basically refused to shake our players hands after the game.

Anyone see this or have a comment.?
 
I was also there. There was a lot of butthurt in that stadium and no they didn't shake hands. I will say Purdue has an awesome campus and Mackey Arena is amazing. The fans were pretty weak though. Just kind of an air of hostility in the stadium.
 
I'm not surprised. After all, we ARE their most hated rival not named Indiana. They are just taking the B1G forced rivalry seriously, we should too. I hate Purdue! Grrr.... :)
 
And had Iowa not made the mistakes they did, they could have rolled Purdue even worse.

After beating OSU, and playing another game at home, I imagine Purdue thought they had this one wrapped up. If they could beat OSU, they could shirley beat Iowa.

When Purdue didn't shake hands I hope the hawks just laughed about it...

I hoped the Hawks laughed about it too...and don't call me Shirley...
 
OP, you do realize a riot almost broke out on the field one minute before the game ended. I am glad Purdue left the field. We didn't need any trouble.
 
Yeah, I noticed that they didn't appear to be too friendly either. They should be happy that it wasn't a lot worse. Maybe they were also POed that on Senior Day with bowl eligibility on the line that hardly anybody bothered to show up.
