Possible Bowl game

Was hoping for Iowa/Texas in Tampa, but with Texas beating A&M…probably not going to happen. Spitballing here, I guess it comes down to Tennessee and Vandy. Give me Vandy.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't the Reliaquest Bowl. There could be a scenario where Iowa winds up back in the Citrus Bowl if Michigan were to pull off an upset against Ohio State sending 4 Big Ten teams into the playoffs.

Probably will face the loser of Tennessee vs Vandy.

If you are saying Vandy because you think Iowa has a better shot against them I'd disagree. Vandy is going to be thrilled to be there and will likely outnumber us 2:1 in the stadium and it's not likely many of their players will skip the game. This happened to us last year in Nashville, the Mizzou fans were thrilled to be in the Music City Bowl and so were their players. Us Iowa fans thought were were going to Tampa last year until Michigan upset Ohio State.

Give me Tennessee, IMO they will not be thrilled to be in that bowl game and many players may skip it.

It’s an exhibition game. You want to know why I know it is an exhibition game? Because everyone tells me it is an exhibition game. I don’t even disagree I just want to be entertained.

So give me Vandy, Pavia’s mom, Theo Vonn, give me the circus baby, I’m here for it.:) Texas and Vandy has some sizzle for me, but Tennessee doesn’t. Wasn’t really feeling the Music City Bowl last year, and then kickoff happened, boom I became fully engaged…so who knows.

I just want IA to beat a ranked team in their bowl. Just to change that narrative going into the next couple of years when IA will be CFP ready.

The SEC allows its members to submit 3 favorite locations, then the league places them.

It will be tricky for the league to avoid rematches with Mizzou and Tennessee.

Assume 5 SEC teams make the playoff

you have OU or TX who'll go to Citrus Bowl and play USC or Michigan Those are good TV/Brand match ups. But USC may be routed to PAC12 bowl game - unless in the smoke filled rooms they swap USC with IL or IA

Tht leaves IL and Iowa.

Washington will go with PAC bowls

Then there's the Penn State bubble. They may get in to a bowl with 5-7, they have a big brand and they're playing quite well. They could be elevated
