Possible 2016 PK Recruit

If Iowa is looking for a PK replacement next year for Marshall Koehn, they should look at PK Nathan Taylor.

He's a 6'1" 175 from Phoenix, AZ. Nationally ranked through Kohl's Kicking Camp. #1 in AZ. Top 50 nationally.

Any thoughts?

He would probably cost us a scholarship to get him on campus if he is ranked that high. Scholarships don't grow on trees.

It will be interesting to see the competition between Ellis and Recinos this spring.

(With the title, I opened this thread thinking we were recruiting a Preacher's Kid.) Having a reliable kicker is worth using a scholarship. Has saved our bacon more than a few times. Don't consider it as "burning a schollie. "

I agree with one kicker on scholarship. The problem is our history shows us using 2 scholarships on kicker and two on punters with 2 of them generally not seeing the field.
