I agree that pending lawsuits/payouts and contract buyouts are a major factor in these decisions, but IT IS ALWAYS about the timing. Good money gets paid to avoid bad timing.
The more I think about this, if nothing is announced by early July then he's staying. They won't allow any negative buzz to happen within month or so of the season opener.
