Do we want the Cyclones to remain a joke? Or become competitive?

I said #4, but my preferred answer would be #4 and #2.

I'd like to see ISU be competitive (not good, but competitive- 5'ish wins, with a minor bowl every 3 or so years). And play a mid-tier P5, preferably from a non-B1g footprint, targeted recruiting state.
 
I would like them to remain a joke, but no matter how bad they are, they are never ever a guaranteed win.
 
Same as hawkeyes87 said, but I really don't see #2 happening. Campbell is almost for sure gone, with a few high-profile jobs opening up, and they face another rebuild after this season, because they're gonna lose a LOT to graduation.
 
#2 then #3b (which is not listed) - play them every other year with a home and home with another competitive P5 team.
Coach Mack Camel isn't going anywhere after this year IMHO...not a high profile enough job will be open.

Idk, Florida and Tennessee are shopping around already, and whoever they poach will be too.

Florida...I may agree. Tennessee hasn't been relevant since Tee Martin was QB...and won't be. I wouldn't be surprised if Mad Gumball is waiting for the Earle Bruce appointment in 3-4 years.

You're definitely not wrong, but try telling that to Tennessee fans. Consider them the Nebraska of the SEC, if you will.
 
I still want them off the schedule. ISU will never be a consistent contender in the Big 12. I also don't think the Big 12 will be around much longer.
 
This is really 2 questions.

1) Do Iowa fans want ISU to remiain competitive or go back to being a joke?

2) Do Iowa fans want ISU off the schedule or should Iowa keep ISU on the schedule and replace 1 of the FCS/G5 teams with another P5 team.

Since #2 Iowa actually has some control over, thats the question I voted on. I want ISU to remain competetive and to remain on the schedule.
 
With KF at our realm and MC stays in Ames awhile this same subject post will be on their board for discussion just reversed.
