I think he would compare very similar to a Kyle Korver.

Korver gave a lot to Creighton down the stretch, shooting, rebounding, etc. You are not getting a ton from Jok right now, certainly nothing more than a late 2nd round reach.

I'm not convinced he's healthy either. Not sure if he still is but he was leading the team in rebounding and he showed earlier in the year how good he can be as a shooter.

That is a fair assessment. Whatever the reason they are not getting enough from him right now. Some people are starting to label him a 'gotta get mine' guy. I don't see that. He isn't just jackin up shots. He seems like a good teammate. They need for him to make shots and he isn't doing that right now.

The pros do not play perimeter defense and Jok has the shooting skills. He can get up to snare rebounds. His handling skills are decent but gets stripped too many times or loses the ball. With the limited round of the nba draft I dont think he gets drafted. But the pros dont play much defense so he can make a roster has a shooting specialist small wing man.

I'm voting yes for now. Late second round. There are a ton of guards in this draft though. Jok will be a known commodity. Probably depends on how his workouts go

Ball handling has to improve greatly. Right now there isn't an NBA 2 guard that couldn't pick his pocket. If he improves his handle I do think he has the shooting tools to play in the league. Next major red flag is durability. Jok is struggling through a 30 game NCAA season how could anyone expect him to make it through 82 games in the NBA. This is the issue that I don't think he can overcome. It is my opinion right now that he will not be drafted. Time will paint a clearer picture, but if NBA scouts are watching they can't like what they are seeing.

This is so stupid. You obviously don't watch NBA basketball if you don't think they play defense

I hardly ever watch the NBA anymore, watched it from the mid 1960's thru mid 1990's. Great athletes but a bad brand of basketball where guys make zero or no passes on most teams and chuck up 3's with bad shooting percentages. There are only a handful of teams that really play some good team offense. Popovich, Nelly Don Nelson, the coach you had the Suns playing great team offense 10 years ago he has an Italian last name, and a couple of others have sweet offenses. And I stand by my claim that they dont play much defense. And I cant stand the drama and the flops.

I bet the illini guards yesterday would grade out better at 3 point line defense than most any nba team this year.

NBA defense is legit

I don't really worry about his ball handling in the NBA that much. He's going to have to be a catch and shoot guy coming off screens. Again, I use the Korver analogy... neither can play D at the NBA level and you don't see Korver out there dribbling around and neither will Pete.

Agreed. He is a niche player. And that niche will be shooting the basketball. If I were him I would put all my eggs in that one basket. Think Ray Allen late in his career that was all he was. All that being said, I still think he is a late 2nd rounder at best.

Jok will probably wind up playing over seas, I don't see an NBA team drafting Jok.

And there is nothing wrong with that. You can make decent coin playing in Europe. You can play in China for a few years make some money and then move on with the next phase of your life. It's not the NBA, it is not the dream.....it is not awful either.

There might not be an NBA team Not willing to take a chance on Jok. His shooting is excellent, even when he is double teamed, The defensive intensity will not be the same as in college. The opponents cannot put two defenders on Jok, too much other talent on the floor. Need a three.....?..... Put Peter in. Same as Bobby Hansen playing for the Bulls, late in his career. Of course, Bobby was the complete package and one of the smartest players on the court.

This is a difficult period of time for Peter. Since before the season, he was going to be the go-to-guy. The attention he receives each and every game would wear an elephant down. He has been slammed to the floor on a constant basis from game one, and his physical condition reflects this.

He is one of the best three point snipers in basketball history. His game has improved every season, perhaps less so this season because he is the main focus for the opponents. Last season he had Jarrod to draw some of the attention. His mid-range game has improved this season and the ability to take it to the basket started to improve last season, also this season. He has implemented his attack with occasional good passing, drawing defenders, while leaving one of his teammates open for the pass and easy bucket.

Yes I can see him, making the draft. His upside is very large as an offensive force. Of course I thought Andre and Dean would make the draft. And also Jarrod.....
