Does Peter Jok Get Selected In The NBA Draft?

There might not be an NBA team Not willing to take a chance on Jok. His shooting is excellent, even when he is double teamed, The defensive intensity will not be the same as in college. The opponents cannot put two defenders on Jok, too much other talent on the floor. Need a three.....?..... Put Peter in. Same as Bobby Hansen playing for the Bulls, late in his career. Of course, Bobby was the complete package and one of the smartest players on the court.

This is a difficult period of time for Peter. Since before the season, he was going to be the go-to-guy. The attention he receives each and every game would wear an elephant down. He has been slammed to the floor on a constant basis from game one, and his physical condition reflects this.

He is one of the best three point snipers in basketball history. His game has improved every season, perhaps less so this season because he is the main focus for the opponents. Last season he had Jarrod to draw some of the attention. His mid-range game has improved this season and the ability to take it to the basket started to improve last season, also this season. He has implemented his attack with occasional good passing, drawing defenders, while leaving one of his teammates open for the pass and easy bucket.

Yes I can see him, making the draft. His upside is very large as an offensive force. Of course I thought Andre and Dean would make the draft. And also Jarrod.....

There maybe just a slight amount of rose colored tint in those shades bro.

I voted "Yes." Today I don't think he would get drafted until late in the 2nd round if at all. Before his injury I think he was a lock...with a shot at late 1st round.

I think he's still less than 100%. My "Yes" vote assumes he is going to round back into form by the end of the season and play like he was before the injury.

Pete has the skills to play at a higher level, but not the body. Those legs are still very thin, contributing to his lack of durability. I think McCaffery needs to look at his lifting program. Most of the teams in the Big Ten have well developed bodies. Baer is in his third season with the program and still has trouble keeping his arms up when he is tired.

I would look at it this way. Jok isn't nearly the athlete that Marble is right? Marble barely had a cup of coffee in the league. Now Jok can shoot but what good is shooting if you can't get open? He's been struggling with getting good looks up this year and the types of athletes he'll be going against in the NBA night in and night out are freaks. Even the 'bad' ones can jump out of the gym and run in circles around him. Jok would certainly be served well if he could get a Kyle Korver type of nitch. But Korver has been really durable and consistent. Plus he's bigger and isn't asked to defend 2 guards all the time that would embarrass him. Korver is closer to 6'8 and 215ish I think. Jok looks 6'6 and like 205ish. He's pretty strong and lean but he's by no means a quick or physical defender. Jok is a better rebounder then one might think but he doesn't use his body on defense very well at all. I doubt he'd get drafted as a 2 guard nitch 3 pt sniper. They just don't usually want to use draft pics on guys with such a low ceiling.

You obviously don't know why Marble didn't get to drink that full cup of NBA Coffee!! He was to busy drinking things other than coffee and doing other things worse than either of those things.. Marble was suspended by the NBA during his rookie season in 1990 for violating the league's substance abuse policy, which as a result cut short his professional playing career. Marble has only himself to blame!

I think he is referring to Devyn.

I was referring to Devyn. Roy couldn't shoot outside all that well either if I remember right. He relied on his athleticism to run around and jump over people. But yeah his drug habit kept him from having a serious chance at sticking. Devyn if he could shoot would be in the NBA. He plays D. Has the perfect NBA 2 guard body. He just can't consistently put the ball in the basket outside 18 feet. Give Jok Marble's body or Marble Joks shooting touch and you have yourself an NBA player no doubt...

Can he be a designated free throw shooter?
They should do that. Have a DFTS, but that is the only thing they are allowed to do. If he misses on second shot or on one&one, the team must take a timeout. If out of timeouts, DFTS is not allowed to shoot.
