Points after touchdown for Iowa

Whoever decides which way Iowa should go after a made touchdown, two points or one point, should be fired, seriously...

Iowa went for two points in the third quarter (WTF) and again in the fourth quarter and failed both times and, if one point conversions were attempted and made in both instances, Iowa would've been playing for an overtime win even if Pedo State had made their last second touchdown.

Ummm....no. Iowa lost 21-19. With your example it would be 21-21...but oh yeah, PSU didn't kick the PAT after their final td but instead took a knee then McSorely punted the ball.

Ordinarily HomerC I would agree with you especially with the first two point conversion try which actually was with 10 minutes left in the 4th qtr according to game summary. That TD made the score PSU 15 Iowa 13. All of us in our area of the stadium thought it might be the last time Iowa scored so we better go for 2 pts and a tie game.

I agree that you dont chase the points early in a game but 10 minutes left in the 4th qtr of a low scoring game where Iowa was having offensive troubles I thought and many thougth was a good coaching decision.

Of course it turned out the hawks got that lightning quick score late in the game.

The damn safety is what put the score at a weird situation with Penn St having 15 points.
