Pitt at Iowa Channel?

I am not finding a channel for this game on record but it says in my TV Guide btn alternate channel at 6? Isn't it 7 and what channel, anyone?

Thanks

Thanks for asking. Was curious as well. ESPN.com and Hawkeyesports.com both say BTN, but TV Guide says other as well. My guess is a BTN alternate channel.

7pm central time. BTN. If you don't live in Iowa, you'll probably have to find it on an overflow channel, as PSU/RU is primary in other areas.

BTN2GO app is another option.

BTN is showing the game at 7:00 in North central Iowa. If you live outside of Iowa the BTN puts Iowa as one of the last options. Hard to believe that the 80's and 90's you could always watch Iowa games. Now with so many options and costing a whole lot more you're just as likely to get a Sun Belt game as a BIG game.

Here is the game finder, this should help, enter your zip and cable provider and it will tell you if it is the main channel or the alternate channel and the numbers.

Thanks for the game finder link. I looked on the guide last night and it still had Rutgers versus Penn State listed for 610; however game finder lists Iowa versus Pitt game on 610 and Rutgers/PSU on the alternate channel (my area is Waterloo IA/directv).

This will be something to monitor over the next couple days, as I like to DVR the games when I'm there.

I'm in Des Moines and my tv says alternate channel but the game finder says it is on the main channel. I would guess in Iowa it will be on the main channel.

Oh how I love these threads.

We got a world-wide forum with posters from all over the place with dozens of TV carriers and someone asks what channel number?

If you live in Iowa there is nothing to worry about. The game will be on BTN. However, if you live outside Iowa, there is a problem. If you live outside Iowa & don't have BTN alternative chanels, you will have to stream the game on your computer on the BTN website.

DIRECTV:
I live in Davenport, and BTN shows 610-1 for my zip. Ames and Northwest Iowa also show 610-1.

Rutgers is always shown on 610.

On Tuesday night at my house in Vegas, BTN was not showing the Iowa game on their listing. It was showing it on the alt. BTN channel. Then last night I checked the listings again and that time they had Iowa on the primary channel. I set the DVR so hopefully it record the Iowa game.

I landed in CR this afternoon and will be cheering on the Hawks in person Saturday night.

I live in Wisconsin. I have DISH. BTN has the game on an alternate channel BUT it shows the game starting at 6:00 p.m. I dvr'Ed the Iowa State game on Fox last week and the baseball game, 1 of 162, I might add, caused me to miss most of the first half. More examples of the inept entertainment industry at work. I will not be surprised to tune in to the Iowa game Sunday night with a big adult beverage in hand and find that I have a DVR of a re-run of Gilligan's Island. Good God.

For fols with DirecTV, checking alt BTN channels before Thursday is pointless. I always wait til Friday to double-check. Sure enough, this morning showed it on 610-1 (I'm in Orlando area).
