Pitt at Iowa Channel?

Oh how I love these threads.

We got a world-wide forum with posters from all over the place with dozens of TV carriers and someone asks what channel number?

Nothing wrong with this thread.

Simply trying to SORT-OUT what the Bozos at the media conglomerates have done this week.

As Docaholic said, just a few years back, it was quite simple. You tuned into the HAWKEYE channel.

And the Kansas vs Sunbelt score could be looked-up on Sunday. Because IOWA's our Primary concern......

BTN is showing the game at 7:00 in North central Iowa. If you live outside of Iowa the BTN puts Iowa as one of the last options. Hard to believe that the 80's and 90's you could always watch Iowa games. Now with so many options and costing a whole lot more you're just as likely to get a Sun Belt game as a BIG game.

I hate to burst your bubble, but what you stated isn't exactly true. In the 80s and 90s you got the game in Iowa every week. If outside of Iowa you got it if the networks carried it. So basically more often then not you did not get the game if you lived outside of Iowa, whether it was football or hoops, but if in Iowa you got them all.

Now, if you are in Iowa you still get it but you have to pay for the BTN and that costs a little bit, not exactly costing a whole lot more. If you are outside of Iowa it is on every week, as long as you pay for the BTN (not an option in the 80s and 90s) as long as you can find it on the weeks it is on the overflow channel, as I guess it is possible some cable companies might not have it.

You have to be a little tech savvy, but if you pay a little extra a month for seven months you get everything for football and basketball. And in the grand scheme of things BTN is not that expensive but DRASTICALLY increases viewing options for those outside of Iowa, while simply costing a little ore for those in Iowa.

I meant people living in Iowa. I didn't express that correctly. The BTN is included in my cable package and I always get the football games. I guess I was out of place and in the wrong forum because I was thinking of our out of conference basketball games that I have to stream because they're not always on tv.
