Game on the line...chance to etch your name in history with the greats...one drive to tie the game and send it into overtime or win at the end...and what do you do...YOU THROW THE BALL LIKE RICKY STANZI AND LEAD THE DEFENDER INTO THE ENDZONE! YOU GO TO DALLAS CLARK. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I told everyone Peyton is just a stat piler. He piles the stats, when it comes time to put up like Brady or even little brother, he will fold.

You realize he has just as many rings as his little brother right?

In fact, he has the exact same number of SB wins and appearances as Brett Favre.

Had Manning had the defense that Brady had when he was winning Superbowls he might have won last night.

I say might because Brees was having the game of his life.

+1.
I'm sure T Brady was chuckling a little bit last night.

What pro team are you a fan of?

It seems you have an issue with Manning that goes far beyond what happened last night.

Last night, Manning and the offense played well. They just didn't get to see the field enough.

Brees and the NO offense was great.

The Colts refused to change their defense even though Brees was killing them.

Reggie Wayne also ran a weak route. It's not all on Peyton. To his credit though, he didn't throw RW under the bus after the game. Plus, RW dropped a TD pass at the end.

No doubt about it, Brees had an amazing game last night. Seemed like every pass was complete, and got rid of the ball so quickly the pressure couldn't really do a thing.

Peyton did what I figured he would do. Had Garcon not dropped that 3rd down pass at midfield with the colts up 10-3 (or 10-0)? I believe Manning leads them to another score and puts them up by 14. I don't think the Saints come back from that.

That final INT was disappointing, but really, if they can even run the clock down under 2:00 when they tie it up, does anyone think the Saints don't go get at least a FG to win? I sure would have liked to see it.

Even a TD with a chance at an onside kick when they had 1st and goal would have been fun to see. Very anti-climactic game. Saints just had too many sustained drives, and didn't turn the ball over.

Now I know what the the Chicago Stations mean when the say Football Stupid. I am not a Colt fan but if you know anything about football, you know you are watching a master at work when Manning is on the field. That int by the way was caused not by a misread or throwing into double coverage but by a corner who took a huge gamble jumped a route based on the blitz package and came up a winner. Kudos to him. To say Payton choked is DUMB... Give me one QB for my team I take him everytime.
I suppose you take Bradshaw because he had more rings.. Football is a TEAM game.......

I feel this play was very understated and I feel it really helped turn the tide of the game. That play was 3rd and 12 (?) and that first down would have been their second long conversion of that drive, which started deep in their own territory. Manning put the ball right on the money and Garcon just dropped it...

Peyton's track record in big game moments isn't great, but this one was not his fault.

SteveGarvey is correct Reggie Wayne ran a lousy route on the int. Roy Williams called and said that was a lousy route. Come contract renegoitation(sp?) time this Super Bowl should not be on Reggie Wayne's highlight reel.

SteveGarvey-

Why SteveGarvey? Was TravisHenry already taken?;)

It looked almost like Reggie Stumbled a bit on that route...and on a timing route like that if the WR does not do his job the QB is going to look bad.

I can't tell you how many times the following exchange happened between myself and my father in law (A Wisconsinite now living in Minnesota) when Indy was on D last night:

ME: "That was poor tackling."
FIL: "Yep."
ME: "They need Bob Sanders. He can set a tone for them."
FIL "Yep. He's a hard hitter. He doesn't let go."
ME: "Guess they are one Hawkeye short today."
FIL: Chuckle. "You're right."

AFC: The New England Patriots.
NFC: The Carolina Panthers.

Manning chokes in big games; I am as sick of the hype surrounding him as I am of tim tebow.
Anything else you want to know about me?

Did anyone see what I saw on the replay of the pick-six last night? I about fell off the couch. It looked like Clark had a step on the safety with nothing but grass in front of him. Either I was seeing things or Manning totally locked on Wayne without even looking up ala Ricky.???

+1 I love when everyone jumps on the QB when there are plenty of other things that could have gone wrong to cause the pick. Wayne is just as much to blame if not a little more then Manning was on the play he wasn't where Manning expected him to be.
