Petition to Return CHA Court to Gold?

I feel ten times more strongly about this than I do the watertower - the Carver Hawkeye Arena court should be gold.

Our gold court was stolen from us when the Iowa basketball identity was stripped from us in 1998. We're getting our identity back - now we need our court back.

Someone needs to start a petition - preferably someone in Iowa City. I can't abide another season with that awful black court. Who's with me?
 
actually my friend, i`m color blinded! lets worry about this some another time, like when you have to poop in your outhouse.
 
While I admit I like the gold court better...I also think it's okay for Caff to have his own fingerprint on the program. If he is happy with the court as is I dont think it is necessary to change it simply because it brings back feelings of the good ol' days.
 
Far from the dumbest post of the year, but I respectfully disagree with it. I think the black looks good. I do hate the mediacom logo, i think that logo is right behind Lick as far as stealing our identity on the court goes.

Agree 100%, I hate mediacon's name on our floor.

Wrong thread, wrong forum. Please try to stay on topic, maybe you should go to the football forum and start a completely new and original thread about the defensive philosophy of the football team.

Unless you were referring to the fans blitzing the black trimmed mediacom court after another big win
 
I would like to see center court have a large silhouette of the state of Iowa in gold, with a large, black, block-letter I on top of it.
 
I actually really like the black floor. I think it looks more intimidating than the gold floor, and find it more visually appealing. That said I'm not a huge fan of the Mediacom logos (I do not like Mediacom anyway), but I think the corporate sponsorship is very important. Especially to keep pace with facilities and keep the athletic depts budget up to snuff, which in turn gives us a better all around product. So I can live with it. I don't mind the name Mediacom Court, but I just don't like the logos.
 
I like the black court a lot but hate the mediacom logos. The only change I'd like to see is an old style flying hawk on center court and have it near the size of the huge Jayhawk on the Kansas court.
