4. The player I was most impressed with: Tight end Tony Moeaki. I'll be writing more about him in the coming days, but what interested me is the Chiefs' aggressive use of him in passing formations -- as a slot receiver, a blocker tight to the formation, and set out wide. He's their Dallas Clark.

I'm pretty sure people already notice. At the same time, I think Moeaki is a big time talent and was an NFL caliber player anywhere he went. Now guys like Reisner, Dallas Clark, etc are more guys that the Iowa staff can point to and say, "we got that guy into the NFL!"

He did play all last year at the college level. Plenty of people around the team said he has all the tools and just needs to let things click. I agree he isn't Tony or Dallas but everything is there for that to happen. Hopefully it does starting this year.

Talent was never Tony's problem. He's the best TE that has played for Ferentz IMO, and that's saying something.

As long as Moeaki stays healthy, he will be a multiple time all-pro.

I think most people believe that with CJ's size/speed/hands/potential that he is an NFL prospect. When recruited people suggested we would see him in the NFL because of his unique skill set. Its been reported that Ferentz often says "you're not in the NFL yet" to CJ when he is slacking. ICHawk was not out of line suggesting that CJ may play in the NFL at a high level. I just hope he lives up to the hype.

Really? Get the corn out of your ears and listen to what the people from Big 10 Network, and all the coaches have been saying since last year when he played as a true freshman. He will be in the NFL and probably a high round draft choice.

I think CJF will be a stud but using the Big 10 network as your source isn't a good idea imo.

It was reported that Ferentz said that to him during the Kids Day scrimmage. Somehow you turn that into hearing Ferentz often tells him that? And you wonder how rumors get started. Stop exaggerating and give the kid a chance to prove himself.

The thing you want to argue with me is that Ferentz has only said this once? Fine, It has been reported that Ferentz has once said "You're not in the NFL yet" to Fedor. I think that still supports the idea that there is speculation he will play in the NFL. My point was it is ok to speculate that Fedor may make the NFL, as many people have stated their opinion on this, and ONE time at Kids Day, Ferentz made a comment to CJ involving the NFL and how he was not there yet.

Agreed about Myers. PSU 2008. Twice on the fateful drive towards the FG, Myers caught a 3rd and 10 pass at about 7 yards and beat 3 defenders for the first down both times. That guy made plays.
