Peter Jok

I noticed that in the NW game, too. I also noticed that he wasn't the only one doing that. Whoever is at the point of the 1-2-2, Uthoff, Baer, Jok -- all have their arms down. Makes me think they are coached to do that.

Maybe it's meant to try and encourage the ball handler to make the pass over the point man, where the cross-court defender in the middle can jump the pass (like Wagner did a couple times yesterday). That's really the only reason I can think for not having the hands up at the point.

I think I agree with most on here.... Pete shoots at an NBA caliber level.

He won't be a great defender but that won't be his role in the NBA anyways and I think he can hang just fine here.

He needs to continue to improve his ball handling and ability to finish going at the rim. I'm confident that we'll see this improve and he'll have a strong senior campaign just as we have seen from Marble, White, and Uthoff.

Peter has been on fire... and I love it.

But guys... guys...

Jok isn't going early to the NBA... I really don't see him has an NBA player (I hope he proves me wrong).

He just lacks quickness and ball handling - he would be small for a two guard and he could never play point.
defensively he doesn't match up well either.

I'm just glad he's a Hawkeye....kid is on fire, and has gotten better attacking when to attack, he shoots w/great confidence, he's looking for ways to score, and it's been a breathe of fresh air, same way regarding Sapp....that kid is having a great senior campaign...I'm so glad it's Iowa everyone is talking about and not the usual MSU, Wisci, O$U....

He wouldn't be small. He's 6-6 and 205. He could probably gain 5-10 pounds but he's good sized for a 2. I do hope really works on lateral agility and ball handling for his senior year because he is going to be the man.
