Pete Roussel from Coaching Search.com tweeted about Iowa job opening

And maybe he can work out his brother in the offseason while our recruits are in camp this summer. Hanging with an all pro...not too shabby. Honestly, I like the move to youth and guys that have something to prove in the game and are hungry. We need their energy on the recruiting trail and I think we just got alot better there.

I apparently picked the wrong profession, which sucks because I can scream and yell with the best of them.

He has spent one year as a GA and is being brought in to coach TE's, when there is no receiver's coach and no other openings?

People, this really looks like just another GA opportunity. Cool your jets.

Anybody remember Dallas Clark's brother as a GA?

He is the bro of Aaron Hernandez who makes up the star TE duo for the New England Patriots. Not a bad hire at all.

We aren't talking about the Kennedys here. Being the brother of someone means nothing. If it actually meant something, why isn't D.J. in the NFL like his brother?

I don't know if it's a good hire or not. I'll wait and see on that. But there is nothing to take from the fact that he's Aaron Hernandez's brother.

Ever heard of Dan Clark? Google him. You might have to try Danny Clark.

After you do that, you will realize what role Hernandez will have with the program.

Our linebackers improved greatly also throughout the year...and they focused on teaching and discipline (hence the benching of one of the nation's leading tacklers). I personally like where this is going.
This is completely contradictory. The fact that one of the nation's leading tacklers was benched in Game 10 is proof that the LB play was in fact declining throughout the course of the year. Read Hawkeye GameFilm's write up of that game. Then the next week at Michigan we have probably the worst defensive effort I have ever seen from a supposedly competent Iowa defense. Michigan could have put a hundred up had they wanted to. Your post is just blatantly incorrect and STUPID.

You really need to call his post blatantly incorrect and stupid?

Besides, when has this years defense ever been called as you put it "supposedly competent"? They were a bad defense that played against crappy offensive teams. The best offensive team they played was Michigan and they destroyed the defense.

Hitchens was the leading tackler but he was also playing out of position and taking bad angles on runners and receivers allowing for extra yardage, not to mention he was arm tackling half the time or he was coming up and attempting to lay the big hit on guys instead of wrapping up. Doesn't sound like a competent defense considering the whole defense were doing these things more often than not.
