Perrault show???

Despite his record, Stnzi is certainly not above reproach. If you are not concerned about his 17/15 TD/Int stat, you just have blinders on. I am a HUGE Ricky fan, but if Iowa wants to even sniff the championship next year, he has to cut that int number in half.

Iowa had a pretty good whiff of the championship this year, even with those numbers.

We all know that with all of the close games they played, Iowa was not going to get ranked ahead of Boise/TCU/Cincinatti to get into the NCG. If Iowa were winning games by 14 instead of winning them by 4, they would have had much more juice in the Coaches poll, and they would have had a legit shot. The reason we were in so many close games is because Stanzi threw 14 ints in the 9-1/4th regular season games he played.

Also, on a purely selfish level, Ricky needs to lose the ints to get even a sniff from the NFL.

Might want to go back and look at the BCS polls instead of the coaches since the BCS poll is the one that matters, a 9-0 Iowa team was ranked AHEAD of Boise/TCU/Cincy, they were #4 behind Florida, Texas and Alabama. As it turned out with Texas not losing even a 12-0 Iowa team wasn't going to the NC anyway.

You are correct, but don't be too sure about failing to pass Texas. Had Iowa beaten Northwestern, and then won at OSU, it was very possible that Iowa would have passed Texas in the BCS. The computers would have really favored Iowa over Texas, and pollsters would have taken a good look if Iowa had won at OSU. Texas does not have anything close to a marquee win, and the Big 12 championship game did not help their cause. Plus, Oklahoma State losing to Oklahoma would have been a factor.
