Perrault show???

Matt, you distinctly said the following:

"If Adam Robinson isn't at least 90%, I'm picking Tech."

Either way, after poo-poooing Iowa and Ricky Stanzi all year, it'll be interesting to see how you approach the show today. I'll actually listen today just to see if you give the Hawks credit, or rip Tech.

And I would say Adam Robinson was at least 90% wouldn't you?

Thanks Egami. People are still angry that I don't believe in Stanzi....it's cool. When I start talking about a NC run - they will assume I'm lying :)

I love this. Ricky got us 11 wins this year. How can you not believe in the guy?

So who's better Matt? Stanzi at 11 wins or Arnaud at 6 wins?

He didn't do the amount of running that Wegher did. I do find it funny that you actually thought Iowa's chance at victory rested on how healthy Adam Robinson was. Never mind the defense and starting QB who is now 18-4 as a starter.

I pretty much agree with you on Stanzi. I was a big proponent of Stanzi over JC. I was expecting more out of Stanzi this year though and I think your criticisms are reasonable. He's streaky, but I give him credit...he gets the win.

But in terms of NFL readiness and being top-tier college QB he has a lot of growing room.

A healthy running game with Stanzi makes him that more efficient

there are two camps when it comes to Stanzi: 1) Those who appreciate how he wins about every game he starts (I would be in this camp) 2) and those who think he sucks

The people who dont like Stanzi cannot be convinced otherwise....ive tried. They might be right because he makes a lot of mistakes but im amazed how little respect he is given for winning ballgames. The 1st 2 TD passes were sick and more than made up for the pick 6

Just win, Ricky

He is too inconsistent for me. He looks great at times and then looks totally lost. If he can become smarter with where he puts the ball next year - then they should win the Big 10 and more. This team is too good to give up points when they are on OFFENSE.

I think the areas Stanzi needs to work on to make a big leap next year is relatively manageable.

1. All 4 of his pick 6's were on hooks or outs to the right flat (within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage). Almost all of them were late and not thrown with enough zip. He needs to study the specific reads for these plays to prevent those interceptions. He threw at least one other interception on these two patterns to this side of the field where the defender was tackled inside the 10. It was also almost always when that was the short side of the field so the length of the throw was not substantial and when he was in the pocket.

Eliminating the mistakes on that one area would reduce his interceptions from 15 to 10.

2. Work on looking off the safety to open up the post patterns more

3. Coming off his primary receiver quicker to move through his progressions. When he has lots of time he gets through his progressions and finds the open man sometimes he just does get there quick enough.

I don't disagree with that. What I'm saying is that I find the premise that Iowa's hopes for victory rested on Adam Robinson to be laughable at best.

That was probably a stretch, NOW if the rumors would have came true of no Wegher and no Robinson.........than I wouldn't have felt very good going into last night

He's 18-4 as a starter. That's really the only stat the matters. You can say "but this" and "but that" all you want - after all, you did it all season long - but the kid is a winner. End of story.

Your co-host understands that. You do not.

Dude, dont try to change his mind!

People who dont like stanzi cant be convinced otherwise. Matt, Im not saying your opinion is wrong but people who dont like Stanzi cant get past his shortcomings and see that the guy is a winner who makes big plays in crunch time.

How many games did iowa lose when Stanzi threw a pick 6? the answer would be zero. They were 4-0 in those games

now matt is ripping the chris meyers question (which was a stupid question about middle America), and is actually ripping Stanzi's answer. matt must not love America. matt can go ahead and leave for all i (and probably Ricky) care.

You obviously aren't listening closely enough...Meyers question was stupid. Stanzi's answer wasn't good either but the question was insulting.
