There’s a basic principle of fairness in sports officiating. You do what best serves the game and thus both competitors. A concept foreign to most B1G crews, unfortunately. Still, the right thing to do once the second player went down was to stop the game and deal with the spot on the floor.

B1G officiating basically sucks.
