These sites know very well that everyone does it. The people designing their websites aren’t idiots (well, not in the technical knowledge department).
They just want to make it a half-hearted pain in the ass for people, and pick up a tiny bit of cash from a few poor shmucks who actually believe they’re blocked and pay the subscription.
I had a chrome extension at one time that I could tell it certain websites to delete from my browsing history and the related cookies every time I left those sites (and leave everything else), but I got a new confuser at work and don’t remember what it was called. Also, can use different various browsers. I'm the king of that. I've been battling that with various papers for years.
Just searched it. Looks like there are multiple different extensions that possibly do this. Thanks for the heads up.I had a chrome extension at one time that I could tell it certain websites to delete from my browsing history and the related cookies every time I left those sites (and leave everything else), but I got a new confuser at work and don’t remember what it was called.
Our IT department always keeps your last PC on hand in case you need something that didn’t get brought over and recycles the “second to last” one; I should ask tomorrow if I can peek at it.
